From our initial founding in 2015, Wai Mauna Asheville SUP Tours has grown into one of Asheville’s most popular outdoor activities.
We’re Asheville’s only river operator offering professionally guided tours and have the lowest rental prices in town. Similar to guided walking tours, our historical ecotours discuss Asheville history while searching for local wildlife, and you also learn how to standup paddle from professionally certified instructors.
Some unique features include the sunrise “Dawn Patrol” (which is the only activity of its kind in the entire Appalachian mountain chain), the 6-person “party barge” for families and groups, and we even offer sunset sessions on those days of summer.
In an effort to continue our steady growth, Wai Mauna Asheville SUP Tours will be instituting a local Asheville referral program, where anyone who sends business our way will earn a 5% commission, and customers will also earn 5% off their total booking!*

Here’s How It Works:
1: Sign up for a referral code by using our online signup form.
Your custom code will be: Your first name + First initial of your last name + last two digits of your birth year
Example: If your name is John Smith and you were born in 1975 your custom code would be JohnS75
2: If we haven’t dropped off referral cards at your place of work already, we’ll drop some off so you have them available when you want to help refer guests.
3. You can personally call the company to make a booking for your guests, and just give us your code when you make the booking by phone.
4: OR, you give customers a referral card with your code, and when they make the booking by phone and use your code, they save 5% and you earn 5%. Easy!
At the end of every month we’ll calculate the referrals, and if you’ve reached a threshold of $25 we’ll mail a check to the address you provided when you signed up for the program. If you don't reach the threshold by the end of the season (October 31), we'll issue a check on November 1 for the total you earned that year.
Cool. So how much money can I make?
2018 Rates
4-mile guided tour: $80/person = $4 commission/person 4-mile rental: $39/person = $1.95 commission/person
7-mile guided tour: $95/person = $4.75 commission/person 7-mile rental: $44/person = $2.20 commission/person
Party Barge guided tour: $300/group = $15 commission/group Party Barge Rental: $170/group = $8.50 commission/group
