COVID-19 Guidelines and Procedures

These past few months been tough on us all, and our deepest condolences go out to the families who’ve been affected by this global pandemic.

For the health and safety of our paddlers and staff, we’ve implemented some new procedures for paddling in Asheville this summer:

  • All paddlers exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 are asked to stay home and not paddle.

  • All of our guides perform regular self-checks and are asked to stay home and isolate in place if they feel they’ve become symptomatic.

  • For the health and well-being of our customers, all paddlers are staff are required to wear a cloth face covering for the 10-minute shuttle up the river. To help increase spacing during the ride up the river, our shuttles are operating at reduced capacity.

  • The shuttle van and all our gear is regularly sanitized, and we have locally-purchased hand sanitizer from Cultivated Cocktails Distillery here in Asheville, which is available for customer use.

  • We encourage all paddlers to be mindful of physical distancing protocols and maintain at least 6 feet of space.

We want all our paddlers to stay safe this summer, and for more questions or clarification you can send us an email at info@waimaunaashevillesuptours.com.
