(*Offered May 15-August 15)

End your day with a peaceful paddle through Asheville's Biltmore Estate! This section of river is exceptionally scenic and lined on both sides by trees, and this paddle takes you right up toward dusk—a great time for spotting wildlife!

*Please note: The Biltmore Estate is private property and no paddling to shore is allowed. Average paddling time is 2.5 hours—if you're a first time paddler, or would like a shorter tour, consider the 4-mile tour.

5:00pm: Arrive at Bent Creek put-in

5:00-5:30pm: Standup Paddle Lesson and Instruction

What to Bring

This is a tour that starts off and warm—and then begins to cool off—so besides a fun and adventurous spirit, paddlers should pack a light jacket to combat the evening chill. And, while the chances of falling in are slim, remember to wear board shorts or a bathing suit if you'd like to take a dip. Sunglasses can be nice for the beginning of the tour—although you might want a Croakie or string—and we'd suggest bringing a change of clothes you can grab from your car at the end. Finally, while everyone hopes for a sunny day, afternoon showers are common in Asheville and can occur at any time. Packing a rain jacket or waterproof layer is a good idea for this tour, as it's always better to be over-prepared than stuck in the rain without one.

If you'd like, you can also bring a waterproof camera for capturing the morning scenery, just know that Wai Mauna Asheville SUP Tours isn't liable for items that are lost, damaged, or stolen. Finally, optional items include sunscreen and bug spray (eco-safe is best), and you might also want a towel in your car for drying off once we're done.
